Yesterday took forever. I woke up at 8:30, hit the road at 9:30, and drove until 10:30 at night!!!! (minus gas stops, a couple McDonalds stops, and a 40 minute nap) I went straight to the Dubliner to see Drunk and Disorderly, as well as all sorts of happy MN Festies, yay! It was good happiness fun and all that jazz.

So, this morning, I woke up manic. I cleanedmovedstufffrommycarvaccuumedwalkedtothelibrarygotalibrarycardgotahollywoodvideomembershiptriedtogetablockbustermembership *breath* camehomeatemovedmorestufftookoutthetrashcalledashitloadofpeoplewenttothecreditunionwenttothebankcheckedemailwatchedamoviewashedthedishes and other things. I finally crashed about 7.

I was sent to the store about an hour ago for food coloring and toothpicks. I rebelled, and wore my cloak.

I feel really odd. Throughout high school, college, and whatever post-college is called, I didn't really care about wearing what I wanted. Elf ears, purple braids with bells at the ends, my cloak in the winter, whatever. Now I feel self conscious, because I know some of the people I knew in toontown scorned people who wore 'work clothes' off hours. It just pisses me off I guess, because I don't consider my cloak a renaissance thing, I consider it my light winter coat. *bitter*

I think I've just let my skin get too thin, I probably need to thicken it up a bit.

I had an idea for a post, really I did....

One of the things that surprises me greatly about this online stuff is how differently I come across. At least, I think I come across vastly differently online, anyway...

---
I was at work a few weeks ago, and my cute coworker had figured out how to write messages to other users on our Unix network - so we amused ourselves by writing to each other for a while.

In conversation, a standard reply for me is to say, "Neat!"

In text, a standard reply for me is to say "*chuckles* Heh, I wouldn't have expected anyone to come up with *that* idea... *ponders a bit* Yeah, that is really cool!"
---
In real life, I am so awful at improvisation. Then on Everquest a few days ago, a situation came up, where I needed to ... enforce, basically, a new thing that my guild has been doing. I mentioned to our guildleader that I needed to check the messageboard quickly to prep, because I'm awful at improv, and her reaction was, "... actually, you're quite good at it."

!?!?! WTF?

People think online that I'm a good roleplayer. !?!?!

Seriously, the dictonomy between online perceptions and real-world realities is *so* vast... I guess I'm not expressing myself very well, but I think it's just crazy.

Sorry for randomness of post. Be well, peeps.
