I feel kind of bad...
I told my boss that I'd need to take off Aug 10th-12th (and maybe the 13th, depending on how fast we drive), to go do wierd family stuff in New York, and so we went over the entire run of festival, addressing which days I'd be taking off and all that.
*twiddles thumbs*
And I kinda didn't mention that fact that I'd be resigning in September...

Don't feel bad
Besides, I'm in much the same situation. Can't give them warning, much as I'd like to. They're really good people I work with. I just can't stand the work anymore.
There's slight progress, anyway.

Wait until a week before you're leaving and tell him. Most places have that no notice clause which works for both employees and employers and with the amount of time us employees get fucked by it, we really don't need to feel guilty for doing it. Although you don't qualify for unemployment if you quit so you might want to get fired. Then agian you'll be traveling and unemployment requires that you actually look for a job.
Too bad you won't be in New York at the end of this month or in September. But I'll see you at CONvergence.
