clubbing and traffic rambling

I just got back from Foundation, a club in downtown Minneapolis. They played house, drum & bass, and supposedly the last set was trance, but it didn't seem very trance-y to this clueless individual. Not enough ethereal vocals. But anyway, it was a nice club side room, size-wise comparable to Homme Lounge in Phoenix, but with a better layout. The dancing was less intense than I'm used to; maybe a dozen people danced over the course of the night, and it was mostly of the "Hey, I'm grooving on this music" type of dancing, and not the "I'm gonna toss my body around until I hurt myself" type that I'm used to. Also, most all of the dancers faced the DJ, which seems a little odd to me, because really, the DJs just stand at the mixing board and mix. Although sometimes they were dancing more vigorously than the groundlings. Drink specials are ok, and the crowd was good. I'm planning on hitting more clubs of this ilk with the person who invited me tonight.

St Louis Park, I love your stoplights. Every time I approach a red light with no opposing traffic, the light changes within seconds. <3

People who drive with their brights on, if your fellow drivers seem to be more dipshitty than usual, it might be because they're blinded by your lights in their rearview and are "encouraging" you to pass them. Turn 'em off or replace your burned-out headlights for crying out loud.
