The Houston Chronicle had a little sidebar thing last week on the topic of saying "Merry Christmas" vs "Happy Holidays." One of the folks they quoted related how whenever someone would wish her a merry Christmas, she would wish them a happy birthday. When the person would respond, "It's not my birthday," she would say "It's not my holiday." I thought a less negative and more thoughtful response could be, "We are all god."
