Jan. 2nd, 2009 11:24 pmWoot! The standard mileage rate for 2008 is $.505 until June 30, and $.585 after! I figured it would stay at $.505, and maybe even decrease what with how gas prices plummeted. Hrm, I wonder when the rate was set... Anyway, this means:
- I am definitely under $15000 for the year. Yay for the full retirement savings credit!
- I owe less than I was afraid of (but likely still a couple hundred).
- I really need to motivate and finish adding up my receipts. It's hard to motivate though, when I won't get any of my bank 1099s until February. And then won't have the time until after President's Day.
Ah, and now I see that they are adjusting the standard mileage rate for the falling gas prices, and that for 2009 it will be $.55 - the first time it's been a whole cent since I've had to know the number!
