So, what have I been up to?
After Scarborough ended, I went up to Muskogee to go to visit that faire. The Ceilidh was less than stellar, but I enjoyed seeing people and being able to hang out, watch shows, and not have to do anything. I ended up helping my Santa Fe boss tear down her booth on Sunday, then was invited to two ex-rennies' apartment for dinner and a shower before starting the drive up to Minnesota.
My week in Minnesota was very busy. On Monday all I did was unpack and then sleep since I got almost no sleep during the trip. Tuesday was![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
jacktheslipper's birthday, and we went out to the pub on Lake Street and hung out with a bunch of Morris dancers to celebrate. Wednesday was ceili dancing at the Dubliner, yay! Thursday was my aunt's funeral. It was overall a good service, up to the last 5 minutes when the guy from the funeral home got really preachy. I learned a lot about my aunt, and it was good to see family again. Friday I had dinner with an old friend from high school, Saturday was another Dubliner ceili followed by a family dinner. Then on Sunday I packed up my car, went to the family reunion for an hour, then left for Colorado!
I pulled in to the CO faire midday, and spent Monday setting up camp. For the last three days, I've been setting up the booth, and it looks phenomenal! My parent-manager had been here for a week or two working on the booth, so now it has a fresh coat of paint. Next week I'm going to try to do something with the booth's garden, because over the last decade or so it's fallen into disrepair and looks more like a mountainside than a garden. After the booth is in order, I will look into sewing weekwork.
