Jul. 21st, 2009 09:25 amI do not want to go back home right now.
I stayed at the shop late last night, playing computer games and surfing the net (I'm reading Questiuonable Content from the beginning 'cause it's awesome, even if a bit condescending towards gothy type stuff), then a severe storm moved in around midnight, keeping me at the shop for another hour. When I finally made it home, I found that I had, like an idiot, not zipped up my tent when I wandered off that evening, and now there is a good inch of standing water in a third of my tent.
One of my neighbors is loaning me his wet-vac and 700 watt inverter, which will speed the process up tremendously. But there was a hole in the bottom of my filing cabinet, and now all of my papers are saturated. I think I will be throwing out everything that isn't financial.
I am way too tired for this. Boooo hail!
Oh, and then just as I was hooking up the inverter to my car, one of my friends called me to tell me that the smoke alarm was going off in my shop. Thankfully, it was just a low battery, or maybe it got rained on and shorted out. But I needed to get an extension cord from over here anyway, so it wasn't really out of the way.
But if anything else goes wrong today, I will be seriously pissed.
*sigh* Well, the sooner I start, the sooner I finish, I guess. Have a better day than me, folks.
