(no subject)

So last week I fried my external hard drive. Tried putting it in a new enclosure, but the drive won't even spin up.

Yesterday, my laptop powered down in the middle of a movie. I brought it in to General Nanosystems, and they say it sounds like the motherboard is toast. So they're looking at it now, and in 4-7 days or so I should have an estimate on what it will take to fix it.

So I went to Best Buy to scout out new computers. I'm also considering that maybe I shouldn't get a new computer. Being tech-free would free up a lot of time and I'd get to do a lot more reading and might start playing with toys and learning more things.
But being connected to a global consciousness and knowledge base is awfully tempting.
