asthranIt's so wierd... I feel almost like... I get on Everquest, and awesome things happen...
On Sunday, not to long after I got online, a GM event started with system wide rumors of crazy gnomish necromancers summoning undead in the Kithicor forest, making travel there during the daytime impossible... "hopefully a raid will go take them out" ... So I ran my little woodelf tail to Kithicor via Rivervale (where I heard the oddest whispering.. "It's sad... a poor monk tried to help out the halflings defend against the crazy gnomes and not only did the gnomes send an army of undead against him... but they stole his cherry pie!"). I emerged into Kithicor to hear the two brothers, Hum and Bug, arguing amongst each other...
Hum Malcontent shouts, 'Again with the pie! Now give me that book, Lets try reading it on its side, maybe its written that way'
Bug Malcontent shouts, 'Why should you get the book? You messed it up last time, even after I told you it was 4 times on the right!'
You hear an explosion somewhere from the east... obviously reading from the side wasn't the correct method...
Hum Malcontent shouts, 'Because I know you're going to sell the book for more pie money! Or get pie filling on the pages!'
Bug Malcontent shouts, 'Well if you can't read the book what good is it? At least pie is useful and tasty'
Hum Malcontent shouts, 'Okay... it says we need to sacrifice a tree... If we sacrifice them all, I bet we'll get more out of the summoning!'
Bug Malcontent shouts, 'Hey! That's a good idea. If that doesn't help we can always go back to Faydwer and chop down the trees around Kelethin'
Bug Malcontent shouts, 'It's too late, the pie is gone. '
Bug Malcontent shouts, 'Go get more pie!'
Bug Malcontent shouts, 'Here's your stupid book back. See if you can get it right this time. We need to get rid of all those halflings'
Hum Malcontent shouts, 'Okay... turn around 4 times... and hop up and down on the left foot..... behold... Lober ?!? I don't know how you messed it up, but I know it was you!'
Hum Malcontent shouts, 'Ah ha! Behold the Bloodbones! I think we can get started now'
Bug Malcontent shouts, 'I can't believe it worked. I guess everyone gets lucky sometime'
Hum Malcontent shouts, 'On to rivervale! We will kill every last one and stop that infernal noise once and for all!'
Bug Malcontent shouts, 'And steal their pie!'
Hum Malcontent shouts, 'We're almost there, hold here while we summon the rest of our forces!'
Bug Malcontent shouts, 'Great you summoned the bloodbones finally, but you summoned slow ones'
Hum Malcontent shouts, 'Hey! Not a word from you Mr. Undead Bixie Summoner!'
Hum Malcontent shouts, 'And I don't care if the Halflings are allergic to them, Who was ever frightened of a Bixie?!?'
Bug Malcontent shouts, 'One of these days I'll summon a swarm of those and that will show you. Stupid bloodbones'
Hum Malcontent shouts, 'Yeah, Your Bixies against my blood bones.... They are Skeletons, what are the bixies going to sting?'
*giggles* Anyway, it was hillarious... a spontaneous, volunteer raid of maybe 40 people... at least 6, though I'm guessing 8 GMs (6 GM Bloodbones, and 2 GM Malcontents)... setting up the raid was utter crazyness... Seeing GMs pull PCs like we've gotten used to pulling NPCs was hillarious .... and deep in the heart of the battle, I got to kite a GM - hee! That was awesome. ... at least, I kited him until he realized he was being kited...
Anyway, of course all the uber players thought it sucked, and all the loot was ninja'd, but I frankly had a blast.
