A good response to flirting is sometimes just a coy smile. =) At least, that can work quite well in Festival situations. I know what you mean about slow response times & awkward in-character conversations. I definitely had lots of that last season - I'm sure it's interesting & challenging to move to a different faire every couple of months. That really adds a whole new dimension to the character-building process. What an experience, though!
