I've been reading S M Sterling's Dies the Fire and its sequel, and it's pretty good. An interesting followup to Sterling's books is Orson Scott Card's Folk of the Fringe, which is a similar post-apocalyptic story, but with Mormons instead of Wiccans. Well, and being a collection of short stories instead of a hefty trilogy.
