Woo-hoo!

My car is running again! And I put my starter in all by myself! (Well, with an additional person to help hold it in place while I put in the top bolt.) It is very gratifying to be up to one's biceps in engine grease, and to do things like finger-tightening a bolt with your right hand, groping for a 12mm wrench with your left, and using a maglight in your mouth to help you see, all simultaneously.

So it's either that it was just that my battery needing to be recharged, or it could be an alternator again. *Now* my dashboard is telling me that there's something wrong with the battery (why didn't you tell me that a week ago!), I need to get help to get the air filter stuff back in, and also my dashboard is under the impression that the emergency brake is on. So I need to figure out what's up with that. But still! My car is running again! Wooo!
