I know I should update, but I also have been thinking I want to pre-write my posts, because I keep forgetting half the stuff I wanted to write.
- Frank from Cast in Bronze wrote a musical about his bells. Rehearsals started on Monday at 1pm, I found the flyer at 1:30 and got there as fast as I could. We'll be "performing" in mid-May, though that's really just doing five songs. Frank's keen to know if his arrangements work, and I'm tickled pink at there being an organized musical/theatrical experience here.
- I've made Monday night country dance practice twice, and look forward to going again. I'm going to Church tonight. Tuesday night SCA dance is no more, so I'll maybe replace that with a Tuesday night Lindy Hop.
- I went to the fabric district in Dallas and it's amazing!!!! I only went to six or seven of the warehouses!![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
ashamanja_babu, could you help me with a fiber question? I've never actually bought linen before; it's washed to soften it, right? Could you give me any other helpful info regarding it's care?
- I'm currently digging on industrial musics. E Nomine is from Germany (+2 cool points), and has a kind of creepy religious thing going on with their lyrics. Do not buy the Metropolis 2006 compilation album, and there are only 4 good tracks on the new Asleep By Dawn comp album, but thankfully one of them is Stromkern's "Stand Up". Good political commentary in that; now I just need to practice what I dance.
