Safe in Colorado, part 2
Jun. 4th, 2007 01:18 pmI'm now ensconced in the RV park that I'll be living at in Colorado. I was wrong in my last post - I'm actually staying at the Rocky Top campground. It's in Green Mountain Falls, CO, in the Ute Pass, and is about 8000 feet up. We don't have a view of Pike's Peak from our site, alas.
When we went out grocery shopping yesterday, the entire Safeway lost power for a few seconds until the generator kicked in.
We seem to get a couple thunderstorms a day at this altitude, and it's pretty cold. We're looking at highs in the upper 60s or low 70s all week, and it's dropping to the 30s at night.
