The absolute best part of my trip was Camp Gaea. ( Read more... )
The drive from Gaea to Minnesota was horrendous. In the freezing rain I learned my defroster wasn't working, so I got my thermostat replaced in St Joseph, MO, for a very reasonable $60. Still, I needed to pull over every exit to scrape ice off my windshield, and all in all, I only traveled 150 miles yesterday. I got a hotel in north Missouri, and spent the evening playing phone catch-up and recrocheting a foot and a half of the blanket.
The weather today was much better, and now I'm here!
