Dec. 3rd, 2007 02:48 pmI went to Dickens on the Strand. I was hoping it would make me excited about making a Victorian corset over the winter and a Victorian outfit over the next year or two. Alas, it did not. Most of the ladies outfits just didn't appeal to me.
The Elissa was part of the admission, so I got to wander around her. I got to help move the lowest sail on her mainmast, and just generally got a better idea of what
klari does on her ship in San Diego. It was pretty neat; if I settled down someplace near the ocean I might try to volunteer with something like that, though I'd need to deal with some of my height issues. The crew of the Elissa were also some of the more interestingly dressed folk there.
I spent yesterday in Galveston, getting drunk and enjoying the beach and such. I also got to lock a beligerant drunk out of the hostess' house, which was interesting.
I may or may not go online before leaving site. I leave Thursday, and may be back in Minnesota on the 10th.
