my poor abused car
Dec. 9th, 2009 10:22 pmI'm still picking glass out of my scalp...
( My car knocked some sense into me )
Important lessons:
- When my hood isn't latched properly, don't wait to close it until I've reached my destination. Pull over and take care of it now!
- Baling wire.
- Don't be a lazy hippie and put off car maintenance until after that minor road trip.
- Be grateful.
All these people were really nice. I should send all involved auto body places a card, and I want to get the guy who helped me immediately after the incident something more. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I could get a random stranger for the holidays? A fruit basket? A poinsettia?
Now I'm pondering my short term future plans. After the craziness of today, I'm kind of thinking of holing up for the rest of the month and not doing the rest of the things I had planned to do this month, ie Nitzer Ebb and Dallas. I should ponder carefully. And perhaps wait to make a decision until I've actually done everything that I need to do here.
I'm *still* getting glass out of my scalp when I scratch. And I think when my scalp got cut it took out my awesome little white hair. Little white hair, I miss you!
