road trip: Bisbee and LA
Jan. 9th, 2010 11:53 pmTuesday: Left Tunetown, and drove to Fort Stockton. En route, I stopped in Comfort to say Hi to one of the MN site crew guys who was spending the winter with the folks from the tiered jewelry booth in the Narrows.
Wednesday: Arrived in Bisbee around 9pm, and went to the house of one of my bosses' friends for a late dinner.
Thursday: Explored Bisbee. Lots of awesome building there, also lots of decrepit buildings too. I suppose I live in a tent, so I shouldn't be too surprised by what sort of places people live in there. Stayed up later than I meant, listening to the bosses relating stories about the early days of the CA faires, how they got started, and all that.
Friday: Got to LA again around 9, and went straight to the Flow Temple Party XXIX. I had plenty of time to braid my hair (4 braids each high pigtail this time) and change into my hippie pants and kerchief crotchet top. I almost spun fire, but then I saw Crystal spin, and that she would be followed by an AZ performer and the Alien before I spun, and I chickened out and nursed my camcorder instead. I also made a little art. By 2 am I was exhausted, so I slept in my car for a couple hours while the party cooled down, then woke up to help clean up a little bit and then caravan to the Flow Temple. Blessed sleep for an hour, moved my car to someplace where it wouldn't get a ticket, then more sleep.
Saturday: A slow start as everyone slept in after the festivities, then at two we walked down to Griffith Park for the intro classes there. I learned some staff from Riff, and had an awesome time. After we got back, didn't really have the energy to go out to the club after all, so hung around the temple and chilled. Decided I want to winter here next year. It is very possible, now to manifest it!
