travel, taxes, house, etc
Apr. 13th, 2011 01:20 pmTrip to Scarby went well, and even a little faster than I anticipated. The microwave fell out of its shelf, damaging a storage cabinet door, so I'm giving it away and putting in more pantry space there. Next week will be home improvement week, working on replacing my bed frame, spackling assorted holes in the walls, cabinet doors, and other misc repairs. I also need to change one of the trailer tires, as 20% of the tread is no longer attached. All four tires will be replaced before the end of the show.
I filed my taxes last night using H&R Block's free file webware. Federal and CO state only took me 90 minutes, and since the $400 credit applies to 2010 as well as 2009, I actually get a refund! Which is good, because new trailer tires are going to put me out roughly $515.
I'm settled in in Valhalla, and now I need to get off my duff and straighten out the kitchen tent and mead hall here. At viking_coder's request, I picked up an electrical usage meter, and apparently I use a lot of electric. That will be interesting to monitor.
