TRF is over. It went fairly successfully, and I've been asked to manage again next year. Now I get to take some time off, and work on building enthusiasm for AZ.
Last weekend I went to visit LARF, and explore New Orleans. Turns out you're supposed to eat your way through the city, so it's a good thing I wasn't trying to stick to a diet.
Speaking of, I had this giant post written up about weight/diet stuff, but suffice it to say that I'll be spending a lot more time at the gym, eating a lot more vegetables, and in general working on fitting back into my new bodice.
For winter vacation, I have a number of things on my to-do list, mostly involving sewing and crafts. I suspect they'll mostly be finished within a week, but that's something to worry about later. Today I hemmed (? vertically, not horizontally) my shower curtains, and made two reusable grocery bags. I also acquired my friends cat, a 2.5 year old black and white male named Guts (Gatsu, a character from the anime Berzerk). I was a little worried about the transition, but he came back tonight after exploring his new neighborhood this afternoon, so I think it's all good. Until I bring him in for his shots anyway.
Tomorrow I hem handkerchiefs and clean. Anyone want a handkerchief or two? I know a few of them are going to friends in MN, but I've got a lot of scrap linen (cotton-linen blends, anyway). Eventually I will take a nap and then head out to Underworld at Numbers nightclub.
