I can ride a bike now!
Sort of!
I made it a good hundred years over a dozen times, and even managed to do two 180-degree left turns! (didn't manage to get a decent right turn without losing my balance, though)
I grokked how shifting gears works, and ended up going in 5th-gear on the grass, and in 1st gear on the blacktop. I was able to glide successfully, and brake to slow down (without stopping or losing my balance), then put my feet back on the pedals and speed up again!
Now, I just need to get the hang of steering - I keep on tensing up and swinging the handlebars around and losing my balance. But I tried to emulate suffragettes and I think I'm managing to get the hang of it.
