Feb. 25th, 2009 05:57 pmWe had a great weekend finally. Good weather, good crowds, and I think our staff is finally starting to come together. Hopefully next weekend everyone will be healthy.
On Monday I got a lot of things done, then spontaneously went to a casino for the first time. The show we went to see was (of course) dark on Mondays, so after losing a little money we went to go see Coraline, which was a lot of fun, but not as awesomely incredible as some other folks have claimed. Then two of us went a bar where we were highly entertained by a drunken computer geek and his SCA fighter friend.
Yesterday a lot of crazy drama happened, and the end result is that there will be no more drum jams, unless they're more inaccessible. We're not allowed to go to the labyrinths either, which saddens me more than the drum jams.
( A picture of the labyrinth I will miss )
Last week I decided to treat myself to some things off my Amazon wishlist, and now I have Dr Horrible's Sing Along Blog on DVD, as well as a Seabound's No Sleep Demon and Apoptygma Berzerk's Welcome to Earth! Soon I will have Something Familiar by Kat Ricker as well. I hope I like the rest of her writings as much as I like The Secret of Lara Lee.
I have lost my voice again - major suckage. I'm taking tomorrow off work to hopefully recover. I hate to do it, but I don't really need the hours, and the rest of the weeks production can easily be done by the others.
