So, some of you may be wondering what I'll be up to for the forseeable future....

Through May 30th - Working at the Scarborough Renaissance Festival, in Waxahachie, Tx.

June 1st or so - Leave Scarby, and haul ass to hang with the Terps at the Siouxland Ren. Fest, June 4th and 5th.

June 6th - return to the Twin Cities metropolitian area.

June through Sept - Live at [livejournal.com profile] ganuk's place, get rehired at MarketLine, sew, play everquest, and prepare for MRF in Aug/Sept.

Sept onward - who knows? maybe TRF again, maybe the South Carolina show *shrug*

---

I have a good half dozen or so pre-writen posts, I'll try to post-date them so they don't clutter up your friends lists.

---

Kevin and I are no longer an item. I should be more worked up over it than I am, and I don't know why. Maybe 'cause we were only together for a few months, really, or maybe 'cause I haven't seen him in a month, so it feels like nothing's changed. I dunno.

yeah, it stinks. I'm glad my plans are elastic; I'm trying to get them to bounce back to where they were a few months ago.

Woot! Already? Dang, thanks!

Um, any chance you could load up EQ once or twice before I get there, just to avoid hours of patch time?

*hugs*

Thank you!

grrr.... dump his ass!!!!! Really, you've given him more chances than he deserves. Yeah, he's cute, but so're you, and I'd be very surprised if happiness could arise out of the last several years of emotional.... crud that you two have gone through.

And he's not a Fest boy, he's not even a weekender anymore, though he fits in the the rennies 100 times more than I likely ever will. But I have found a heart-friend in him, perhaps my first one ever.

But yeah, I'm not going to be treading anywhere for a while, methinks, unless it's to avoid entanglements.

When/Why/how do I owe you some dance time? What kind of dance time?

Yeah, the Carolina Ren Fest is put on by the same guy who does the Arizona show. It's small, but everyone speaks well of it, while TRF is a mixed bag. Certainly the rent will be cheaper.

Oh god. I haven't touched bellydancing since TRF. I imagine I'm still having trouble.

I'm always up for teaching group dancing! Hopefully there'll be enough people around to teach it properly. *nods*

That one more chance is usually just a long painful crap that never ends.

true but when someone like me is willing to change that much to try and hold on to love well there has to be something good there.

I second this. Pretty much every rennie relationship I've seen went down. Some just belching smoke, other in a ball of flame. It's not just fest boys, it's also fest girls.

One of the reasons I love the people I'm camping next to is that they're all introverts. And lesbian. The ratio of straight-to-queer folk is a *lot* lower with rennies than with weekenders. But yeah, they're introverts, stick to themselves mostly, but are perfectly happy to let another introvert hang around for a bit (until she gets peopled-out and needs to hide in her tent for a few hours).

I know what you are saying. I bring a book everywhere i go. I'm usually up on site at the BLT, with frequent forays off into the darkness headed for wherever alone. I don't have a tight group of friends, having a tendency to wander between groups every few minutes. Outside of a couple people I can't think of any festies that I talk with outside of fest that I met at fest. I met the lovely lady under whose post we are commenting at a mutual friends house.

I don't know, drunken sex can be fun, but to be fair I need to have known them for a while. I in generall don't like strangers, why would I want to have sex with them?

Deb, I found all that paperwork I ws telling you about on Sat. A couple things that are interesting: "INTP, the philosopher. Quiet and reserved. Especially enjoy theoretical or scientific pursuits. Like solving problems with logic and analysis. Usually interested mainly in ideas, with little liking for parties or small talk. Tend to have sharpely defined interests. Need careers where some strong interest can be used ans useful." although you probably already knew that. here's another one: "God, help me to be less independant, but let me do it my way.

What drew you two apart?
If I may ask?

He left AZ a week early to work the Norman show in OK, and went home from there, not intending to work renfaires any longer. At the time of the breakup, we hadn't seen each other for 4 weeks.

So, what drew us apart was that he was a weekender/townie/local, and I'm not. It happens.
