This weekend at Fest was my best one so far. Saturday I actually spent some time on the street, and even *gasp!* improvised a teeny tiny bit. Nothing to get overly excited about, but it was a lot better than anything else I've done this year. At Minnesota.

The Dolphin gave me a good idea for future years... I'll have an absentee leman, and do the whole seven years faithful thing, and thus have a nice easy out for uncomfortable situations.

Ooh, and we started dancing Ballo del Fiore - everyone handled being thrown a new dance, with no instruction, very well, and I'm proud of you all, even if you don't know I exist! Go you! With Scarby arriving this weekend, hopefully we won't shame ourselves too much.

One thing happened on Sunday that really threw me off. Another character sent me two Crowns (as some sort of thank you) right in the middle of the Chess Game. Kind of good, because I wasn't forced to try and compose some sort of responce immediately to his face, but it really threw me off my reactions for Chess - I probably spent more time thinking about that than paying attention to the fights or dialog. And really, I have no idea why this guy has taken it upon himself to start interacting with me, or why he even knows I exist. Flirting just inside my personal space, forcing me to try and react to questions, when I am utterly unprepared... grrrr!

Twig delivered a red rose to me at Evening Dance on Sunday. (A rare honour, I am told!) It could have been from Mr. Character, but I'm hoping it's not. If I had anything resembling wits, I could have asked her just one question and solved the mystery, but we all know I can't think on my feet.

My goodness, I do believe I'm blushing.

Erm... I guess I can tell interested parties in person, if you truly wish to know, but mostly I wanted to vent about being thrown for a loop while trying to make my own paltry contribution to the Chess Match (and to mention the rose, which could mean more than I've said here - that Twig delivered it possibly has Connotations). In my opinion, the focus should be on the script and principals, not little side intrigues between extras. Oh, sorry, "essentials."

Although, it would be interesting if Mr. Character was trying to set me up as supposedly being an informant for the black side. It could have been a feasible sideplot under the Marco/Alaric storyline, but I don't think it would be likely under this Dueling Brothers script... well, maybe if the black side/white side lists have returned to activity levels similar to the 2003 season... I don't know, I'm only on the CappaFerro list.

And please don't feel any sort of need to publicize confidences. I've already done way more of that than is really prudent. *slaps wrist*

Never did I imply that you should shout off the roof who it may or may not be. I wouldn't know him anyway; I was just taking the opportunity to reassure you that you're a damn tease. That's all! ;)
